Latest News
- (29/10) Course Questionnaire is fully functional and is
activated until 2007-11-09. It can be accesses directly here. The
code is ppht07.
- (27/10) There seems to be some odd error in the course evaluation
system -- currently it refuses to accept any submssions. The error
is reported to the system administrators, and we need to wait for a
reply.
- (15/10) Slides from the last lecture are now on-line.
- (13/10) Solutions to the combined exercise 5 and 6 are now
on-line. The slides for the last lecture will not appear on-line
before the lecture because they would spoil the big surprise.
- (8/10) Lectures re-shuffled: The guest lecture by Urban Boquist
from Ericsson has been rescheduled for this Wednesday, the 10th at
10.00 in HA4. This guest lecture will be shared together with the
functional programming course. The re-scheduling is due to some
miscommunication, and I am sorry for the inconvenience. All other
lectures are according to normal schedule, including the guest
lecture by Philippas Tsigas this Wednesday at 13.15 in EL43
according to standard schedule.
- (7/10) The slides and code for lecture 11 are now on-line.
- (2/10) The slides and code for lecture 10, and the long combined
exercise 5 and 6 are now on-line.
- (1/10) Supervision sessions on Wednesdays have taken place
in the wrong room. Please, check the new correct timetable, which corresponds to the
information in the TimeEdit
system. From now on, the Wednesday sessions will be properly in
3507.
- (30/9) The slides and code for lecture 9 and solutions to the
fourth exercise are now on-line. Also several other lectures have
some fixed typos and updates, most notably lecture 7.
- (25/9) The slides and code for lecture 8, and the fourth exercise
are now on-line.
- (23/9) The slides and code for lecture 7, and solutions for the
third exercise are on-line. There has been a slight re-shuffling of
lectures.
- (18/9) The slides and code for lecture 6, and the third exercise
are now on-line.
- (16/9) The slides and code for lecture 5 and solutions to the
second exercise are now on-line.
- (14/9) The fair semaphore monitor in lecture 4 was not fully fair
in the presence of spurious wakeups. The slides have been modified
to present the really fair semaphore. The code for the lecture
includes both versions with comments to explain the tradeoffs.
Also some additional bugs were fixed in all the classes that were
part of lecture 4 code and slides.
- (13/9) All but the first lecture slides have been updated with
some fixed typos.
- (11/9) The slides for lecture 4 are now available. The second
exercise has been also modified to reflect the new slides.
- (10/9) The slides for lectures 2 and 3 have been updated with
some minor fixes discovered during the lectures.
- (9/9) The third lecture, the second exercise, and solutions for
the first exercise are on-line.
- (6/9) There some changes in the timetable
based on the fact that only around 40 students are taking the
course. Some of these changes are already in the Chalmers official
TimeEdit
system as well. A summary is here:
- All the lectures
starting from Monday are in EL43, and
- The supervised
sessions on Tuesdays are currently cancelled.
- (5/9) The on-line system for submitting assignments is up and
running. For further details see
the assignments section.
- (4/9) The first two lectures have been updated and are finished.
The new slides and code examples are available under
the lectures section. Also, an interesting
story about a history of Erlang has been added in
the programming language
resources.
- (2/9) The new web-page for Autumn 2007 is up and running. It
does not contain all the information, yet. All the essential
material should be available, though. All the information from
previous years is preserved on the old web-page.
