and one of Sweden's largest companies. It has about 90,000 employees in
more than 130 countries. The Ericsson team includes both members of the
Ericsson AXE Research and Development unit for Strategic System
long-term Planning (Concepts Analysis Group)
and Ericsson's Computer Science Laboratory. The former group works on
architectural
modeling of networks, and services. It has long-standing experience in design and
formal specification of architectural frameworks for services and
systems. Most of the activities of the
Computer Science Laboratory are
centered around Erlang, a concurrent functional programming language
suitable for telecom applications.
