The research team at Queen Mary and Westfield College
includes Richard Bornat, Keith Clarke, David Pym, Peter O'Hearn,
Edmund Robinson and Vladimiro Sassone. Bornat and Clarke represent
the department's long-standing practical interest in programming
languages, arising from the presence of Peter Landin. Pym, O'Hearn,
Robinson and Sassone are recent appointments, strengthening the group
there previously, and giving the department a new expertise in
semantics. The main focus of the group's research is
the use of logical and semantic methods to produce cleaner accounts
of the mathematical underpinnings of programming languages, and hence
to develop clean enhanced languages.
See the web page

the Logic and
Foundations of
Programming group at QMW for more information.
QMW will contribute to themes A, B, D and G.
